"WHO ARE THEY, THOSE CRAZY VANDOOS ANYWAY?"

The Vandoos is a Canadian comic strip series depicting the humorous adventures of a group of French Canadian soldiers from the ficticious 22nd Canadian Infantry Regiment. Their adventures take the form of comic books containing several short stories each. The aim is to get a few laughs without telegraphing messages or being moralistic. It's just comics, don't forget that.

Despite the light treatement, however, the efforts we have put into the research and documentation for The Vandoos, clearly visible in the language and behaviour of the characters, have won us praises from the military and civilian population of Québec alike. Civies like it because they get to laugh at the Canadian Army, soldiers love it because they believe it's real.

Our target readership is that of the ages of 13 and above, however, anybody who can read Dilbert can read The Vandoos. It is not necessary to be in the army to enjoy The Vandoos, although members of the military can read it on a different level.
